Boro gave a battling performance, more than matching their hosts in the first half, but two goals after the break saw the Bulls secure victory with the Hornets reduced to 10 men following the dismissal of Sam Phillips.

Having come back from 2-0 down to level the score in the second half, Borough were dealt a cruel blow two minutes from time when Dom McAllister broke away to net the winner for the visitors.

Poole Borough (0) 1, Hamworthy United Reserves (1) 1.

Borough came from behind to take a share of the points in the local derby against the Hammers. After a disappointing first half performance the Hornets stepped up their game after the break, and after James Stickland put them level it took a fine performance from visiting keeper Ban Hayes to deny Borough victory.

Saturday 10th March 2012 - Dorset Premier League
Chickerell United (2) 2, Poole Borough (1) 3.

Borough ended a run of 9 straight defeats as they twice came from behind before securing a 3-2 victory at Chickerell United with James Stickland netting a hat-trick for the Hornets to set up the Hornets first win against the Chickens since they joined the DPL four seasons ago.

Poole Borough (0) 1, Portland United (2) 3.

Up against title challengers Portland, who had bolstered their squad in mid week with the signing of Swanage top scorer Liam Currell, Borough gave another spirited performance that gave the home crowd encouragement that the Hornets are close to turning the corner.

Shaftesbury (2) 4, Poole Borough (1) 1.

Forced to play 70 minutes with only 10 men after Kev Collins was controversially sent off, Borough were unable to halt their run of defeats as the Rockies benefitted from their numerical advantage to record their fifth victory of the season.

Three goals in the last half an hour saw Cobham secure the points, to condemn Borough to their seventh straight defeat in wet and windy conditions at Turlin Moor.

Despite twice taking the lead twice, through Jamie Mowlem and debutant Brad Gasle, Borough were finally beaten by the odd goal in 5 in the first game for the new Management team of Pete Morrell and Mike Rees.

Poole Borough (1) 1, Sturminster Marshall (2) 5.

Borough suffered a heavy defeat at home to East Dorset rivals Sturminster Marshall with Joe Wood netting a hat-trick for the visitors, in a win which saw the villagers go above the Hornets in the table.

Saturday 21st January 2012 - Dorset Premier League
Poole Borough (0) 0, Hamworthy Recreation (2) 3.

Despite an even opening 20 minutes, Borough were undone in five first half minutes during which Recreation scored twice and the Hornets found themselves down to 10 men when Sean Gallagher was red carded. However despite this Borough battled well after the break to hold their opponents, with Andy Knights making some top class saves, and they only succumbed to a final Hamworthy goal in the dying minutes.

Wincanton Town (0) 5, Poole Borough (0) 0.

Facing an already difficult trip to a Wincanton side who were defending an unbeaten record since the start of the season, Borough were further hampered as they found themselves short of numbers and had to play the game with only 10 men. And after holding their hosts 0-0 at at half time, the Hornets went down to 9 men when Stickland was forced off injured before finally succumbing a 5-0 defeat

Borough suffered a rare defeat against the Cranes as the visitors came back from a goal down at half time to secure all three points thanks to late goal from Greg O’Mallo.
